Nivadren™ - The Rarest & Most Powerful Nootropic On The Market Today
People always ask me "what makes Skywalk so effective"? The answer: Nivadren™
What is Nivadren™ you ask? It's an extremely potent extract of the plant species Galanthus nivalis, canonically known as “snowdrop”, due to the way the bulbs grow. Exclusively found in MyoBlox products and native to Eastern Europe, this ultra rare compound contains many alkaloids that have bioactivity, but the main one for the purposes of this paper is Galantamine. Galantamine is a potent acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor. AChE is the enzyme that breaks down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is one of your body’s excitatory neurotransmitters that is responsible for cognitive, as well as neuromuscular function including muscle contraction. It also plays a key role in learning and memory formation/function. Basically, acetylcholine is a chemical messenger that allows different parts of your brain to communicate with each other. Galantamine is known as a dual-mode of action molecule that both inhibits AChE, as well as being an allosteric modulator (something that does not bind to the main receptor site, but a different location but still alters the enzyme) of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Activating the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor causes an increase in the release and amount of acetylcholine.1 So not only are you getting more acetylcholine released, you also are preventing its breakdown which leads to greater cognitive function.
Galantamine was first investigated in the 1950’s for its effects on the brain and was eventually became a pharmaceutical drug for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Over the last 60 years, there have been a multitude of studies showing not only its safety, but its efficacy for increasing brain levels of acetylcholine, almost exclusively in Alzheimer’s patients. The real uniqueness of this molecule compared to other acetylcholinesterase inhibitors like huperzine A is its dual mechanism of action.2 As a nootropic compound, galantamine can modulate the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, which increases the amount of acetylcholine released. Couple that with its ability to bind with and inhibit the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, you have a very effective way to increase your brain’s total usable amount of acetylcholine for cognitive enhancement.3
The data for galantamine increasing cognition (or decreasing cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s patients) is very positive. There have been several long-term, large population studies conducted using galantamine within the last 30 years. Even in a 36-month study involving 119 subjects with Alzheimer’s, the group who received galantamine displayed at least a 50% reduction in cognitive decline and 80% of participants noted cognitive benefits from galantamine.4 This study, along with others not only show its effectiveness as a cognitive enhancer, but also demonstrates its safe and well-tolerated. Galantamine has even shown to have neuroprotective properties.5
Nivadren™ is the naturally occurring form of the nootropic galantamine, a very powerful acetylcholinesterase inhibitor that can increase brain levels of acetylcholine via 2 different mechanisms. Nivadren™ may increase cognitive function, learning, and memory formation and allow you to perform tasks better and improve concentration. Nivadren™ may work even better if combined with a choline source such as alpha-glyceryl phosphorylcholine (alpha-GPC) or CDP-choline. Typical doses for Nivadren™ are 2-8mg/d, with 2-4mg being the most common. Nivadren™ is exclusively found in MyoBlox® products, including the premium nootropic formula Skywalk™, which includes a whopping 800mg dose of alpha-GPC.
My thoughts on Nivadren™:
In my opinion, there’s nothing that compares to the potency of Nivadren™. It’s so strong that it was even made into a pharmaceutical drug! Its closest competitor is huperzine A, which only acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. That’s only half the job that Nivadren™ does. This ingredient compliments the Skywalk™ formula so well by synergistically working with alpha-GPC and noopept, as well as the caffeine, N,N-dimethyl phenylethylamine and theanine to really give you incredible focus for hours. Other cheap formulas that include compounds like noopept do not include choline donors like alpha-GPC due to cost. When taking noopept, it is important to also use a choline donor to avoid brain fog from acetylcholine depletion. Combined with 3g of L-tyrosine, which has been shown to increase cognition through convergent thinking (deep thought, higher levels of thinking), Skywalk™ truly is the most complete and effective nootropic formula that I have ever tried.
